Springwood Fisheries has 2 uniquely designed naturally spring-fed fishing lakes, and is situated on the edge of the National Forest.

The site was opened in 2001, and the lakes are now well established and provide excellent angling facilities for all abilities.

We have introduced many fish into our waters such as Common Carp, Mirror Carp, Ghost Carp and other species such as Tench, Perch, Golden Orfe, Rudd, Golden Rudd, Roach and skimmer Bream. For the winter periods we have introduced barbel, ide and chub.

We also have on-site facilities, such as safe and secure parking, a Clubhouse and toilets.

We also cater for the young and disabled anglers and are happy to book your club matches and arrange open matches by request.

We are now a Caravan Club Listed site, with electricity, water and chemical disposal point.

Springwood is ideally situated for all the local tourist attractions, including Calke Abbey, (National Trust Home) and the historic towns of Melbourne, Ashby-de-la-Zouch and Breedon on the Hill. There are also numerous craft centres, nurseries and shops within easy reach.
